Clive’s career in carpentry began 42 years ago, inspired by his father, who was also a skilled carpenter. Some of his fondest memories are of spending time in his father’s workshop, learning the craft that would shape his life’s work.
Clive went on to set up Signs4Golf, a company that combined his two passions – carpentry and golf.
It started with a simple idea – golf signage that looked as premium as the courses they were placed on.
What began as a UK-based business has now grown to supply over 350 golf courses worldwide, including Royal Birkdale, The Royal St George’s, Emirates Golf Club, and The Royal Automobile Club.
“Carpentry has always been more than just a job for me. The ability to take raw materials and shape them into something both functional and beautiful is something I’ll never stop appreciating. Pairing that craftsmanship with my love of golf felt like a natural progression.
“Every course tells a story and our bespoke signage is designed to complement that, built with the finest sustainable hardwoods like Iroko and Accoya and crafted to stand the test of time.”
