This year’s annual charity golf day in aid of the Standing Tall Foundation took place at the beautiful Houghwood Golf Club in Billinge – and it was our pleasure to do our bit and get involved with the fundraising.

Pulling together

On the day, 19 teams of supporters, from long-standing partners to first-time participants, gathered together to raise vital funds for the Foundation’s life-changing work in mental health, addiction recovery, housing and welfare services.

Among the teams were supporters from A+B Engineering, Morson Group, Money & Me Solicitors, UK Greentech, TVS, and many more making for a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.

When play was finished, guests gathered in the clubhouse for a well-earned meal, the prize presentation and a lively auction hosted by STF Co-Founder Andy Reid MBE.

One of the most moving moments of the day came with the announcement that funds raised would purchase a specialist golf buggy for veteran Danny, who was medically discharged from the Duke of Wellington Regiment due to MS. The buggy will give Danny the freedom to enjoy the outdoors again – an incredible reminder of the tangible impact these events create.

The signs that made it special

Behind the scenes, Signs4Golf were pleased to sponsor a hole and we also supplied all the hole sponsor signage for the event. Our striking, professional signs added a polished finish to the day, ensuring every sponsor was recognised and the event carried a unified, branded look.

Signage may seem like a small detail, but at an event like this, it makes a huge difference. Clear, eye-catching signs helped guide participants, showcase sponsor support and create a professional atmosphere that matched the prestige of the occasion.

As Andy Reid MBE has said of working with us in the past:

“We have worked with Clive on our annual golf day for a number of years. The signs with the charity logo on really stand out and get people’s attention.”

This partnership with Signs4Golf not only elevated the day but also reflected the community spirit at the heart of the Foundation’s mission.

A day to remember

The 2025 Charity Golf Day wasn’t just about golf – it was about community, generosity and creating lasting change. Thanks to the dedication of supporters, the warmth of the teams, and the professionalism of partners, the event was a resounding success.
